The Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine provides at least 50% protection beginning 10 days after the first dose, rising to 95% protection one week after the second dose, new data from Israel reveals.

The data is taken from a research by post-doctoral researcher Dr. Hilla De-Leon, and professors Doron Gazit, Ronit Calderon-Margalit and Yinon Ashkenazy of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. It has not yet been peer-reviewed.
