Mayor of Tel Aviv and chairman of The Israelis party, Ron Huldai, announced he would not be running in the 24th Knesset elections after heads of center-left parties failed to reach agreement on an election merger.
"The responsible thing to do at this moment is take a step backward for the good of the country," he stated following the announcement.
