Liora Valinsky, former head of Cutting the Chain of Infection system at the Ministry of Health, claims that the IDF took over the system, even though it is not qualified to manage it.
"The military does not know how to deal with epidemiology or the management of a disease outbreak. They are supposed to receive clear instructions from the public health system. I felt that my ability to make a professional impact was zero. The statement was that the IDF came to help, and we are dictating the tone. Things turned around, and all the powers passed to them," Valinsky said in an interview with Galei Tzahal.
