Joint Arab List Chairman MK Ayman Odeh responded to the program to "eradicate crime in the Arab sector" presented by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
"We need a well-budgeted plan that uproots the problem of criminal organizations. The plan presented by Netanyahu tonight is nothing more than an election exercise on the backs of murdered Arabs. We need a tourniquet and he offers us a band-aid with Likud written on it.
"A serious plan must first drain the sources of funding for organized crime, close the gray market, and put an end to the phenomenon of protection. We must stop the drift of illegal weapons from the military to Arab citizens and confiscate the hundreds of thousands of weapons that destroy our lives. All this alongside an emphasis on indicting criminals and rehabilitating prisoners," Odeh said.
