The Supreme Court is set to consider petitions by the Movement for Quality of Government against the "Hauser Compromise" as well as the government's inability to pass a budget.
The group claims that the amendments to the Basic Laws of the Knesset and state economy are unconstitutional and that the Knesset abused its authority by not passing a budget. The movement also claims that "there are two separate governments in Israel, each headed by a different prime minister," and that this "paralyzes the executive branch, undermining parliamentary democracy."
