Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen, who visited Sudan this week, spoke to Israel Hayom about his trip.

"We are used to Israel being the one to have to talk them into it in these kinds of negotiations. We were pleasantly surprised when they [were the ones to] express a desire to move forward quickly in all areas," Cohen said.

"We arrived with concerns and left very satisfied. Enemies turned into friends," he continued. "It is especially important to see that the Sudanese are taking initiative in efforts to promote normalization with Israel even after the administration change in the United States."
