According to a Kann News report, about 70% of the country's teaching staff have yet to vaccinate against the coronavirus despite being amongst the first population groups to be eligible for the treatment.

A representative of the Health Ministry said that while teachers could get the vaccine as early as Jan 11, a vast majority haven't taken the necessary steps to ensure their wellbeing.

She further stated that if school studies return within a week, these teachers would remain at risk for infection.

The report also pointed out that on a positive note, since yesterday evening when the vaccine was made available to local teenagers, about 30,000 teens aged 16-18 have received the treatment - making up for about 10% of the population group.
