Today, the verdict in the case of former Ashkelon Mayor Itamar Shimoni will be handed down in the Tel Aviv District Court.
The prosecution demanded that Shimoni be sentenced to almost seven years in prison and fined NIS 3.2 million for his conviction for bribery, breach of trust, and tax offenses.
