Baghdad witnessed its first twin suicide bombing attack in almost two years today. At least 32 people have been reported killed and 110 injured by state media.

According to eyewitnesses, the first bomber pretended to be sick as he entered a local market. When people attempted to help him, he activated the suicide belt. The second followed this up by driving into the crowd and setting off another bomb.

No group has yet to claim responsibility for the attack.

The US embassy called it "a reprehensible act of cowardice that underscores the dangers of terrorism that millions of Iraqis continue to face."
