The director general of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Hezi Levy, yesterday contacted the hospital directors and instructed them to add beds for Corona patients following a jump in the incidence of the virus, Israel Hayom reported.
According to a table attached by the director, the target is 3,200 beds in total, compared to the current number of 2,000. According to this directive, a quarter of all hospital beds in Israel will be allocated for coronavirus. At the same time, Prof. Levy emphasized that "there is no room for not accepting patients due to lack of space at hospitals, but we must be prepared accordingly. "
