Deputy Public Works Minister MK Gadi Yevarkan congratulated new Police Commissioner Superintendent Yaakov Shabtai, whose appointment was approved today by the government.

I'm confident that he will march the police forward successfully, given the many complex challenges they face, and know how to strengthen public trust in the police, after a long period without a Commissioner.
