Chairman of The Israelis party, Ron Huldai, chided Prime Minister Netanyahu and pop singer Aviv Geffen.
"The world of performing arts is collapsing. Netanyahu's boasting of NIS 70 million for 'aid' is a populist joke at the expense of Israeli artists and performers. The one standing at his side (Aviv Geffen) is an actor in the theater of the absurd."
Hundreds of millions go towards the industry in Tel Aviv-Jaffa alone. So take a free tip, Bibi: Invest more in saving cultural activities and less in saving your skin," lamented Huldai.
