The Religious Zionism Party said: "Bennett ousted Smotrich because he wanted to look good to the secular in the center-Left."

The Party said Naftali Bennett split from the National Union and Smotrich "because of endless extremism and provocations."

"Despite Bennett attempts to pass the blame for the split on Smotrich, he really admitted today that he threw Smotrich and religious Zionism out because of his desire to look good to the secular in the center-Left, continuing his decision to put all values of the Right and religious Zionism aside.

"We see that Naftali decided to engage in sectoral mud-flinging; this is not our way. We will not be dragged into it and we will not drag the public that wants positive campaigns into it. We will speak of our values proudly, and strive to represent religious Zionism and the entire people of Israel. Domestic civil wars do not bring respect and we call on Bennett to stop this conduct," the Party said.
