North Korean leader Kim Jong Un called the U.S. his country's "arch-enemy" and vowed to continue efforts to bring America to "its knees" during an address to the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, according to the Korean Central News Agency.

Kim held two summits with outgoing US President Trump but the two were not able to reach an agreement regarding N. Korea's nuclear arsenal.

Claiming N. Korea was a "responsible nuclear state," the leader also listed a number of new weapons under development by his country.

A MSNBC report says Biden has referred to Kim as a "thug."
