Prof. Alan Dershowitz rejected on Sunday the allegations of a conflict of interest in Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's trial.
"It would have been better for Netanyahu to have the trial now, because he will be acquitted. The postponement does not benefit him," Dershowitz said in an interview on Galei Tzahal (Army Radio).
Dershowitz also was asked about the reports that US President Donald Trump is considering appointing him to his defense team if he faces another impeachment trial. "I was not asked to represent Trump and I will not comment on hypothetical issues. I do not think there will be an impeachment trial. By the time the procedure reaches the Senate he will already be the former US President."
