    Frmr WH chief of staff resigns amongst violence

    Mick Mulvaney, former White House chief of staff under announced his resignation as special envoy to Northern Ireland, per a Bloomberg News report.

    Mulvaney said he had made the step because it was "the only thing [he] could do to express [his] displeasure with yesterday's protests.

    Transport Sec Elaine Chao, has also left the Trump White House.

    A number of additional White House officials are considering making early exits from President Trump's administration in the wake of Trump's alleged approval of the storming of Capitol Hill.
