An in-depth command investigation into the incident of a violent attack on an IDF force last Friday and the wounding of a Muslim by gunfire revealed that the military force was in real danger of death while carrying out enforcement activities in the area of the village of a-Tawani.
The investigation further reveals that there was a disturbance at the scene and the force was violently attacked by a number of Muslims, who sought to thwart enforcement activities.
Because of this, and after the attackers refused to evacuate and continued to attack the soldiers, the force commander began a suspicious arrest procedure, which included firing into the air.
During the shooting, two Muslims violently attacked the commander of the force - one forcibly pulled the commander, and another seized his weapon. As a result, a weapon unintentionally discharged, hitting another attacker. The IDF said that in parallel with the command investigation, a preliminary investigation will be conducted by the IDF, which will include collecting evidence and medical documents.
