Defense Minister and Justice Minister Knesset Member Benny Gantz and Supreme Court Chief Justice Esther Hayut held their first working meeting today at Hayut's office in Jerusalem.
At the meeting, current working issues on the agenda of the court system were raised. Gantz told Hayut that he is committed to maintaining the rule of law, to the independence of the judicial system, and its proper functioning. The two agreed to hold periodic work meetings, as is customary.
