Organizers of the 2021 Grammy Award ceremony, scheduled for January 31, have been postponed for March 14 due to concerns over the increased spread of CV-19.
“The deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles, with hospital services being overwhelmed, ICUs having reached capacity, and new guidance from state and local governments have all led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do,” read a statement by the Recording Academy and CBS TV station airing the show.
This year's award show was to take place exclusively online with presenters the only ones allowed into the venue.
Beyoncé led in voting with nine nominations, with Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and Roddy Ricch following behind with six apiece.
