Despite the recently-imposed lockdown and vaccination campaign, a sharp rise continues in the haredi community, with about 2,800 newly verified cases reported over Shabbat.
At the top of the list in COVID cases is Jerusalem with about 850 new cases, Beit Shemesh.
Beitar Illit and Modi'in Illit reported an increase of about 300% from last Shabbat, and a rise of 100% in Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva and Elad were also recorded.
