Following reports that the UK is considering delaying the second dose of coronavirus vaccine in order to reach more people with a first dose, Pfizer, the German pharmaceutical company whose Covid-19 vaccine is already being distributed in many regions, issued a statement saying that: "Safety and efficacy of vaccine not been evaluated on different dosing schedules."
In Israel, too, there are concerns that the country has run ahead of itself in its first round of vaccinations, and may now have to wait for more stocks to arrive in the country in order to keep its vaccination schedule running to the correct timetable.
