San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon became the first woman to lead an NBA team after San Antonio's Gregg Popovich was ejected in the second quarter of a home game against the LA Lakers.
“Obviously it’s a big deal. It’s a substantial moment,” Hammon told reporters at the post-game press conference.
According to NBA rules, Popovich was the one to record the loss.
