Deputy Education Minister Meir Porush and MK Yisrael Eichler (UTJ) have written a letter to the head of UTJ's Degel HaTorah faction, MK Moshe Gafni, clarifying that the agreements between the two factions that comprise UTJ (Degel and Agudat Yisrael) must be agreed upon anew between all parties and not just the leaders of the factions.
The significance of the letter is largely that Agudat Yisrael's chairman, Yaakov Litzman, will not be able to reach agreements without consulting with his fellow faction members.
