Lawrence Korb, who served as US Assistant Secretary of Defense at the time Jonathan Pollard was arrested, told Kan 11 News on Wednesday that "I do not forgive him for what he did, but I do not forgive my country for the injustice it did to him."
Korb added that Pollard "is not a hero, but he was judged unfairly. He should have been released after ten years at most." On the reception held for Pollard at Ben Gurion Airport, he said, "When Netanyahu greets him, it looks like he is a hero."
