The obligation on all citizens who return to Israel from abroad to be isolated in coronavirus hotels went into effect at 10 PM Wednesday night.
A special committee at the airport will examine the possibility of individual exceptions which will be allowed to enter home isolation instead of going to a hotel.
The exceptions would include the elderly, minors who travel abroad alone, women in advanced stages of pregnancy and people in need of special care.
