Former Knesset Director and current Nof Hagalil Mayor Ronen Plot was elected temporary Yad Vashem board Chairman after the process of appointing a permanent chairman of the institution stalled due to disagreements in the government and the halting of appointments.
Plot will replace outgoing Chairman of the Board Avner Shalev, who served in the position for about 27 years, in about a week.
