Contrary to the government's position, the Knesset Constitution Committee approved on first reading a bill to amend the Administrative Procedures, Decisions, and Reasoning Amendment, shortening the response time to public inquiries, initiated by MK Yaakov Tessler.
The bill is intended to shorten from 45 days to 14 days the statutorily imposed maximum response time set forth in the Law, to provide an answer to a written request to a public employee who has been asked to exercise the authority given to him by law.
