Health Ministry Director Prof. Hezi Levy referred in a Reshet Bet interview to the discovery of a new coronavirus strain in the UK.
"This mutation causes faster infection, there's no evidence that it's resistant to the vaccine that was developed," he said.
On the expectation of a full return to routine, Prof. Levy said: "This will take several more months, until we succeed in vaccinating a considerable mass of Israeli citizens."
