The Labor, Welfare and Health Committee headed by MK Haim Katz has approved regulations that allow for the first time anyone who is entitled to an immigrant visa or immigrant certificate under the Law of Return, or participates in an identity program (such as Masa or Taglit) to perform national service in Israel.
