The Islamic Movement in Israel, represented by the RAAM party of the Joint Arab List says it opposes gay-friendly legislature.
An Arabic-language message aired on Galei Tzahal stated that "the Islamic Movement is opposed to gay-friendly policies regardless of their personal opinions."
The movement supports LGBT conversion therapy, "in order to return these individuals to a healthy, sin-free way of life."
Last Wednesday, the Knesset struck down a law that would have made it possible for gay couples to adopt children. The measure would have negated an existing clause according to which a "man and his wife" are eligible for the adoption process.
