The Bar Association filed an urgent Supreme Court petition against the entry into force of the Civil Procedure Regulations on January 1, 2021, as determined by Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn.
According to the Bureau and the petitioners requesting an interim order, the regulations would restrict and make difficult for weak and poor populations to access the courts. In addition, the new civil procedure regulations constitute a preliminary arrangement that may change the legal system in Israel and materially infringe on fundamental rights.
