A poll for the Maariv newspaper published this morning shows that if former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot and Likud MK Yifat Shasha-Biton join New Hope, the party established by ex-Likud MK Gideon Sa'ar, the new party could become the second-largest in the Knesset, garnering 21 seats if elections were held today.
In such a scenario, the Likud party would drop to 27 from its current 36. Yamina would win 15 seats, and the Joint List would win 12. Yesh Atid-Telem would drop to 11, Yisrael Beytenu would win 7, and Blue & White would win just 6 seats.
The two haredi parties, UTJ and Shas, would win 7 and 9 sits respectively, and far-left Meretz would win 5.
