In an interview with the Yisrael Hayom newspaper (that will be published in full tomorrow), MK Yifat Shasha-Biton said that she has yet to come to a decision regarding which party list she will join ahead of the next elections.
"I've spoken with everyone, and everyone has spoken with me - it's no secret," she said. "I've met with everyone, and I still haven't made up my mind. Meanwhile, I'm busy dealing with the coronavirus while I check out my options."
Shasha-Biton, who is the chair of the Knesset's coronavirus committee (not to be confused with the government's coronavirus cabinet), added that, "As recently as a month ago, I didn't think there was anything to talk about regarding elections - they were the absolutely last thing that we need here right now. But today, I'm ready to admit that maybe we do need them. The government is not functioning properly - things aren't being dealt with as they should be. The coronavirus epidemic in particular is not being dealt with properly, so maybe it is time that we turned to the people to decide what to do next."
