The heads of United Torah Judaism, Housing Minister MK Yaakov Litzman and Finance Committee Chairman MK Moshe Gafni respond to the approval of the Equality Law in preliminary reading.

"Blue and White have lost their brakes and are plunging Israel into unnecessary elections at the expense of Israeli citizens. Their support for the Equality Bill, contrary to the coalition position in which they are supposedly participating, is a living example of the populism that paves their way.

"Unfortunately, MK Gideon Sa'ar and Michal Shir, who pledged to vote against the law, decided to run away from the vote even though they were present in the Knesset and revealed their populist motives contrary to Israeli tradition. Members of United Torah Judaism will do everything in their power to prevent the law from progressing in committees and in the Knesset plenum," the response said.
