Internal medicine and gastroenterology specialist and Hesder Yeshiva in Shaalvim graduate Dr. Shmuel Rochberger responded to a Ynet report entitled COVID-19 outbreak in about 50 nursing homes: 'Mistakes costing human life'.
Dr. Rochberger wrote: "The Prime Minister refuses to seriously examine the approach of hundreds of doctors and scientists in Israel and tens of thousands around the world - to focus all resources and efforts on protecting the elderly and at-risk populations, and instead adopted the predatory and useless policy of pursuing children, adolescents, students, yeshiva students, and soldiers, who have no risk of significant illness.
"The serious illness and expected mortality among this unprotected public will rest entirely on the conscience of the Prime Minister, the Health Minister, Health Ministry Director Hezi Levy, and all the other advisors/spokesmen - Prof. Waxman, Segal, Gazit, Schwartz, Barbash and the head of the National Security Council."
