Yamina's MK Shaked reacted to the government's decision to maintain the Emirates' status as a "Green state," allowing Israeli tourists to visit the Gulf nation without having to face a period of home isolation upon return.
"Hundreds of Israelis are coming home carrying the disease. The government must impose mandatory virus testing for residents upon their return. The citizens of the country and its economy are being abandoned by Netanyahu, who, in his euphoria over the peace deals, has forgotten that the virus is still very much at large," she said.
Following an outpouring of public pressure to place restrictions on travel to the Emirates, the Foreign Ministry released a statement claiming that the Ministry of Heath was responsible for making the final call.
