Former deputy to the chief of staff MK Yair Golan of the Democratic Union announced he was formally joining the Meretz party today.
"Meretz is the only Zionist, left-wing, democratic, secular [alternative] we have; the only party that hasn't hoodwinked its constituents," he said.
