Following the cyber attack on the Shirbit company, the National Cyber Directorate demands an immediate cessation of identification with date of ID issuefor services.
Advocate Amit Ashkenazi, Spokesman for the National Cyber Directorate, said at a discussion in the Science and Technology Committee, "We demand that no use be made of the identification of the date of issue of an identity card."
The director of the cyber risk unit in the Government ICT Authority, Gideon Confino, stated, "The state should either prohibit photographing the ID, and thus it won't be harmed, or transfer the issue date to the back of the card."
