Opposition leader MK Yair Lapid reacted to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's statement.
"Binyamin Netanyahu even broke his own record of cynicism today. The man deals with incitement and hatred all day, then comes on TV in the evening and speaks out against incitement and hatred. He deals with politics of the smallest and worst kind all day, then goes on TV in the evening and says stop engaging in politics. He violated every agreement he ever signed, and then went on television in the evening and said why are my partners violating agreements.
"He scored a total failure to deal with coronavirus and the economy, and then went on to lie that it's a huge success when we all know the data is reversed. That's why he needs to go home. Israel needs to embark on a new path, a lean, honest government that will win the public's trust, will take care of coronavirus, and take care of the economy," said Lapid.
