The Central District Attorney's Office recently filed an indictment in the Central District Court against Ofer Elmaliah, the Chief Rabbi of the Prison Service.
An indictment was filed against Mordechai Korkus, CEO of Shorashim, and Shorashim, which during the relevant period provided religious services to schools as part of winning prison service tenders for providing religious services to the schools for theft by a public servant, receiving fraudulently, and money laundering.
Elmaliah is also accused of taking bribes, fraud, and breach of trust. Korkus and the association are also accused of bribery.
