Microbiologist and Department of Microbiology and Clinical Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University Chairman Prof. Udi Qimron today related to various Health Ministry messages concerning face mask effectiveness, writing: "Until April, senior Health Ministry and World Health Organization officials determined *scientifically* that masks were not helpful and even harmful.
"Later they claimed to have lied to keep masks in stock.
"Meanwhile, the most comprehensive scientific research done on SARS 2 has found no effectiveness for masks.
"Maybe they're actually lying now? And they'll explain to us why afterwards...
"When the truth prevails, we'll know when they lied."
