Health Minister Yuli Edelstein told Galei Tzahal this morning that he expects Israel to have a significant supply of vaccines for coronavirus within the next five months.

"The first vaccines will be arriving at the beginning of 2021," he said, "but the supply won't be enough for a mass vaccination program - that will happen by March or April, I believe."

Edelstein added that, "We're thinking about additional sources of vaccines on top of those companies with whom we have already signed contracts. We'll continue to do so until we see that the vaccine program is achieving what it should - it's certainly not enough to sign a contract with just one company, regardless of how prestigious."
