Finance Minister Yisrael Katz agreed with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that he will present to him this coming Monday, together with the professionals in his office, the 2021 budget together with the arrangements and structural changes accompanying the budget that they are currently preparing. Thus, the process of approving the 2021 budget begins.

After the Prime Minister's approval, the Finance Ministry will work with coalition officials and the various government ministries, including the Justice Ministry, to summarize the details of the budget and bring it for Government approval soon. The Finance Ministry will then work to pass the budget in the Knesset in February 2021.

Minister Katz clarified in the internal discussions that he is determined to rapidly advance the 2021 budget together with the important reforms, which aim to ensure the recovery and growth of the Israeli economy after the COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns, along with continued assistance to employees, the self-employed, and business owners.
