Brigadier General (Res.) Sharon Nir, former Adviser to the Chief of Staff on Sectorial Affairs, attended a conference of the Israel Democracy Institute this morning.
"In the last decade there has been a welcome increase in national religious soldiers serving in combat units. The desire on the part of religious Zionist rabbis for the proper integration of religious soldiers increases the movement's involvement in the IDF. It is important to make sure that this involvement does not turn into an interference," she said.
