Nobel Peace Prize winner Lord David Trimble today nominated Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the Nobel Peace Prize, along with Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed, Abu Dhabi's heir to the throne.
Lord Trimble, the first Minister of Northern Ireland, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1998 for his efforts to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Northern Ireland. In accordance with the rules of the Nobel Prize Committee, since Trimble is the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, his decision to submit the candidacy of Prime Minister Netanyahu will bring the committee to discuss the issue.
