Transportation Minister Miri Regev presented NIS 90 million in projects at the cabinet meeting, which Transportation Ministry will implement in the Merhavim, Ashkelon Beach, Sha'ar Hanegev, Sdot Negev, and Eshkol and Sderot regional councils.
Regev asked the government to continue the project to widen Route 232 from Kerem Shalom to Saad.
In the past, widening the road was budgeted at NIS 250 million, and the section of the road between Kerem Shalom and Nir Yitzhak was widened to two lanes in each direction.
