Defense Minister Benny Gantz sent a threatening message at the cabinet meeting to Hamas, noting that there are a variety of operational plans to protect the residents of the south.
"If these violations of sovereignty and security vulnerabilities continue, Hamas and the people of Gaza will meet these plans soon and from up close," he said.
