Incoming COVID commissar Prof. Nachman Ash arrived for his first working visit to the Jerusalem Municipality.

As of last night at midnight, 1,134 patients were reported in Jerusalem, with 54 added and 84 recovered.

"The challenge right now is in the Arab sector. Pirate weddings are a contributing factor. We also have the matter of returnees from abroad not maintaining isolation. I call on the leaders of the Arab population to encourage adherence to the orders. No one wants a wedding to become a contagious event, and that's what happens.

"One way to deal with the disease is testing, and I'm very happy to see the data here. In the future I believe it will be taken into account. It's a lot of encouragement and accessibility. We can put people with negative tests in green areas, it will encourage more tests and allow us more activities," Ash said.
