MK Kathrin Shitrit (Likud) has welcomed the decision of the Civil Administration to reject appeals against making the Cave of the Patriarchs accessible.
"Making this site accessible to everyone is both a Jewish and a humanitarian step. The connection between the Jewish people and the Cave of the Patriarchs is one that cannot be broken, and everyone who wishes to pray there should be able to do so. I call on the Ministry of Defense not to delay, and to issue the tender for the construction of the elevator right away, next Sunday. I will continue to follow this issue until the site is made accessible," she promised.
