A senior official at the Moderna pharmaceutical company told Channel 12 News that Israel would be one of the first nations worldwide to receive the promising vaccine.
The company reported the vaccine was successful in 94.5% of its trial run cases.
Israel is expected to receive the medicine at the beginning of the 2021 calendar year.
